There’s magic in the ordinary. In the mundane. Waking up to sunshine. Birds singing. Thunderstorms. A ladybug landing on your nose as you lock your door in the morning. The playlists you listen to in your car to remind your body of movement, fluidity, sensuality, and connection. There’s magic in your daily rituals. Making the bed. Stretching. Trying to remember details of a long dream in the fuzz of an early wake up. As adults, the enchantment may fade, but the magic stays regardless of how we interpret it. We can always reconnect to the enchantment.
If you make your bed every morning, this is a ritual. If you make yourself a fresh cup of coffee every morning with very specific ingredients and measurements, this is a ritual. If you write a to-do list every morning and then say an affirmation, this is a ritual. We can be creatures of habit and comfort, but sometimes, chaos slips into the day. What if this chaos manifested in the form of your ancestors?
