ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Overview
Oftentimes, we want to write about friends, family, and exes of our lives as authentic characters in nonfiction stories, but sometimes we get stuck in skin-tone descriptions and stiff dialogue. In this 2-hour workshop, we will dive into the five types of indirect characterization (i.e., actions, thoughts, dialogue, appearance, and relationships) and learn how to use each to develop character-driven narrative that can move your plot along.
Perfect For
Character Driven is for beginner writers, who want to strengthen their narrative toolkit and for intermediate writers, who want to explore a different strategy for developing their stories.
All Literary Liberation classes take place online and are accessible to students anywhere in the world. This workshop will be recorded.
