Our bodies are a reflection of the earth. The earth is in a constant poetic cycle of life and death, birth and rebirth, destruction and survival. The earth tells us stories every single day. Through the sky or the sea, the rivers, the storms, the droughts, the insects, the animals. Artists and storytellers go through similar cycles and through them we create glimpses of what being alive means. Being alive means rooting ourselves as much as we can to our beliefs, to who we love, to our communities, but sometimes, we must uproot or we are forced to uproot.

For this prompt, try to use as much imagery of nature as you can, any part of nature that makes you feel enchanted. Have fun and be playful with your sentences. It’s okay if you don’t write perfect sentences.
