When I think about softness, I think about the stretch marks on my belly. My son’s first home. One aftermath of birth is softness. My stomach folds into plush rolls of skin reminding me of my body’s ability to transform. When I think about softness, I think about allowing myself to slow down and rest, melt into a dream.
How do we tell these stories of softness?
If you think of your body as a map of portals filled with stories, we can find the softness, the gentle moments, those moments where your body reminds you to nurture yourself and take your time. That’s what you are going to explore today.
You are going to journal about the softest part of your body. Feel free to be as playful, as imaginative, as exploratory as you would like to get when you journal your body story. Create a space of 15 to 20 minutes for yourself and write.
