If you stopped by the site yesterday, you might have noticed a new section entitled January Workshops. That could only mean one thing—classes are available for purchase! Tell ya mama, tell ya friends!
and me have been working around the clock to get everything ready and the doors are officially open.
How workshop announcements work in 2025 & beyond
The goal is to share all the announcements for workshops and classes roughly two months prior. Workshops will be published individually and sent to paid subscribers first, with exclusive access for one week. Afterwards, it will be made public and emailed to all free subscribers with updated class availability.
If you don’t want to wait a week to see what’s available and miss your chance at registering, I suggest becoming a paid subscriber. Rates are going up in January anyway, so this is a good time to get in at this forever rate.
Now offering Sliding Scale Prices
We’re happy to report that all of our January offerings have a sliding scale option! We are working on an honesty system and won’t ask for financial details. We offer three options:
Supported is our reduced rate offered for those who are experiencing financial constraints but wish to participate. We reserve a limited number of spots at this tier to support those who would otherwise be unable to join. If this tier speaks to your current circumstances, we welcome you to choose it.
Standard is the actual cost of the workshop, including fair compensation for our facilitators and operational costs. If you can comfortably afford daily expenses and have steady income, this is likely your tier.
Pay-It-Forward directly supports others' access to this workshop. If you're financially secure, have disposable income, or benefit from generational wealth, consider this tier as a way to invest in our community's growth and accessibility.
Payment Plans: We are still offering payment plans on an individual basis. Email directly at hello@literaryliberation.net with Payment Plan: Name of Workshop in the subject.
NEW Workshop Requirements
To make sure that our offerings are robust, we now require at least 6 participants to host a workshop. If we have not reached the minimum within 1 week of the workshop, we will have to cancel or reschedule if possible. That means that if you see a class you want to take, don’t hesitate to register! It also helps us in determining what offerings our community has a high need for.

I’ve decided to turn off our chat feature here and close down our WhatsApp. We’ve moved to Slack so we now have one hub to take care of all the things. All of our micro communities will also exist there. I plan on turning off the chat feature on Substack at the end of November since it isn’t being used much as it is.
